Peterborough Golf & Country Club is a private 18-hole, par-71 layout in the city's north end, designed by architect Stanley Thompson and operating continuously since 1897. The course plays to a par of 35 on the front nine and 36 on the back, with five tee boxes offering yardage options for a range of skill levels. The club holds Audubon Certified Sanctuary status through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf, reflecting ongoing wildlife-habitat and natural-area conservation work on the property. Facilities include a driving range, restaurant, pro shop, and a lessons program, alongside junior golf camps and tournament and event hosting. Golf, curling, and social memberships are available, and reciprocal arrangements extend access to other member clubs. Membership is required for play; guests are welcome when accompanied by a member.
